Changes to Drivers Training Certificates
BDE – Beginner Driver Education
Students who enrolled in a drivers' education program on or after September 29, 2008 will no longer be issued a paper certificate from the driving school. Once the course is completed successfully, the school will certify the student online with the Ontario Ministry of Transport (MTO). The student will then need to apply for this proof of completion through the MTO in order to receive the applicable discount on their insurance rates.
